Judge Strutting Day - Background

In the taylor case District Court Judge Gay Murrell (ex EOT) awarded convicted paedophile (offences against little boys) $106000 hurt and suffering compensation because federal govt (immigration) imprisoned him prior to deporting.
The Federal govt appealed and the award was upheld by NSW Supreme Court ( Spigelman , Ipp and Meagher) on the ground that Mr Taylor 's common law rights to liberty had been breached by unauthorised government action (trespass to the person).. . the High Court subsequently overturned this judgment and by extension Judge Murrell , ruling that the detention of Mr Taylor was lawful...this is massive egg on face of Judge Murrell and NSW Supreme Court and it needs to be asked why these judges , in legal error , were so keen to fork out compensation to a pedophile while denying truth-tellers/whistleblowers justice?
