| Judge-strutting Day: The Emperor's New Clothes |
Gerard Crewdson | Judges hold their annual parade in wigs and gowns for the “Commencement of the Law Term”. Some of these same judges awarded a convicted paedophile Mr Taylor $106,000 for "loss of liberty" - far more than the paltry $20,000 each of his victims received. Barristers are depicted bowing down to the judges and pretending not to notice their nakedness which represents the unethical behaviour of some judges and judicial protection given to various government departments against being successfully sued by public servants who appear to have been badly wronged... Gerard Crewdson | A Nazi psychiatrist prepares to write a false report on a German activist... just as HealthQuest and Comcare psychiatrists do to N.S.W. and Australian government employees who refuse to conform. |
| White Rose | |||
| White Rose |
Gerard Crewdson | The White Rose Society (German, Die Weiße Rose) was a World War II-era resistance movement in Germany calling for nonviolent resistance against the Nazi regime. The group of Munich students released six leaflets from June 1942 to February 1943. The group was captured by the Gestapo. Sophie Scholl was a member who was arrested and sentenced by Judge Roland Freisler to death by guillotine. The artist compares the courage of Sophie Scholl with the courage of today's whistleblowers in Australia, many of whom have been falsely labelled as mentally ill by psychiatrists as evil as those of the Nazi regime. Whistleblowers' lives have been destroyed by purported (and discriminatory illegal) forced medical retirement. The Australian whistleblowers have routinely lose their jobs, homes, and reputation. They are purposely left with little chance of new employment when the government lodges in their files the document "NEVER TO BE EMPLOYED AGAIN". The government-applied label 'mentally ill', stalks the whistleblower for the rest of their lives - perhaps a fate worse than the guillotine. |

| J'accuse |
Gerard Crewdson | Emile Zola, author of 'J'accuse'. On 13th January 1898, 108 years ago, Emile Zola's famous article "J'accuse" appeared in Paris on the front page of 'L'Aurore" ('The Dawn'). Emile bravely exposed corruption and injustice in France, as many are likewise exposing it here in Australia. |
